Revitalize - Let's bring our community together

Revitalize our Malaga Cove and Lunada Bay plazas and create places and events to bring our community can gather. The scope includes:

• Events in the plaza for adults and families (fairs, wine tasting, etc.)

• Gathering places for kids and teens such as a yogurt shop

• Cafes and specialty shops like chocolate, wine, cheese, pets, seasonal, etc.

• Protecting the Olmsted city design

• Partnering with the School District to utilize their playgrounds and fields for community gatherings

My solutions include:

• Historic Restorative Tax Credits

• Polling residents as to what business are desired and attracting these business

• Partnering with our businesses to ensure they have a path to success

• Business sponsorships

• Meeting with businesses and commercial land owners to support their ability to thrive in our city

This also includes the following, suggestion made by another involved community member:

• Gourmet food trucks, a local musician or two playing music

• A place for people to come enjoy food and music in the plazas

• Regular events, like first Fridays of the month during the summer

  support our local entertainers and business

We can leverage events other communities have and celebrate the local beauty and our PVE culture.
