How can one person help move things forward

Perhaps a better question is:

Are the residents satisfied with the status quo or do we need a fresh voice to move things forward?

No Council member makes a unilateral decision. Rather each adds to the whole, bringing new ideas, considerations and solutions not otherwise considered.

Similar to the US Supreme Court a diversity of perspectives adds to the whole.

My priorities are to:

• Build a stronger relationship and trust with the community

  By disclosure, candor and treating residents as trusted partners

• Balance the budget

  By including all costs, keeping expenses within revenue and improving long-term decision-making to secure our PVE police in the years ahead and our fiscal stability

• Stabilize Staffing

  Address the core issue that is causing employees to leave

• Govern with professionalism on Council and stop the divisiveness and inability to solve problems - Take responsibility and solve the problems

• Tackle the larger issues that are community priorities

• Reinstate Council proper authority to control policy while giving the City Manager the latitude to manage staff and execute policy

• Ensure good governance practices are utilized and implement proper operational and financial controls

• Protect our land and city rural design from changes unauthorized by residents

  Require resident support of major development changes on our public land, particularly if it changes the rural design of our city
